As the full title suggests 'A Curious Companion' is a collection of demos made for the 'Empires Never last' album. Some of the tracks are recognisable as songs which appeared in a different form on the resulting release. Some other tracks never made it that far for reasons which will become clear upon listening as some are quite experimental and unusual in nature but interesting curios all the same.

This collection was released as a companion CD with the 2016 LP/CD re-mastered and re-mixed reissue of 'Empires Never Last'.
